GUTS collect GPS observation data from on-board/ground GPS receivers, perform precise orbit determination and generate precise orbit ephemeris of target satellites such as ADEOS-II and ALOS.
GUTS will also perform orbit determination using SLR data to verify the ephemeris generated from GPS observation data.
The goal of GUTS is to attain an accuracy of 2-3(m) for the orbit determination of ADEOS-II carrying 6-channel, single-frequency (L1) GPS receiver, and finally 25(cm) for ALOS carrying 6-channel, dual-frequency (L1 and L2) GPS receiver.
